Born in December 1963, Ph.D., Associate Dean of the School of Social Sciences, Tsinghua  University, Professor of the Research Center of Science, Technology and Society, Director  of Tsinghua University-CASAD Research Center for Synergetic-development of Science and  Society. He has served as a member of the drafting group of the National Medium- and Long-Term Program for the Development of Science and Technology (2006-2020) and a member of the expert group on the revision of the Science and Technology Progress Law of the People's  Republic of China. His main research interests were around STS, cultures of science, S&T development strategy and S&T policy.
